MC DONALD'S MALAYSIA
Brief:
At the heart of the film is the relationship between two sisters and a simple tradition they shared growing up eating McDonald’s takeaway together in the car. As life moved on and one of the sisters got married, that familiar ritual gradually disappeared.
The brief was to create an original piece of music that could capture the nostalgia of those memories, while following the emotional distance and eventual reconnection between the sisters.
Solution:
We composed an original song that mirrors the emotional journey of the sisters, moving from the warmth and familiarity of their shared memories into a more reflective space as their lives begin to change.
Rather than simply accompanying the film, the music was written to become part of the sisters’ story, carrying the feeling of a memory that never really left them. As they eventually reunite over a McDonald’s meal in the car once again, the song comes full circle, bringing back the warmth of their original tradition and reinforcing the idea that some connections remain, even as life changes around them.
