Brief:

SweetTape faced a familiar challenge in a category few people think twice about: tape is functional, interchangeable and rarely exciting. With little brand awareness and consumers often unsure which product to choose, a conventional product website would do little to change perceptions. We set out to challenge the conventions of product websites, turning an everyday essential into an interactive digital experience that would capture attention, bring the brand to life and make product discovery feel less like a task.

Solution:

What if a website for tape behaved like tape? We brought SweetTape’s physical world into the digital one, designing an interactive experience where products pull, spin and roll across the screen. Animation and sound turned familiar product actions into moments of discovery, giving the website a tactile personality rarely associated with a functional product category. But the experience wasn’t just for show. A clear, usage-led structure helped visitors navigate the range by what they needed to do, making product discovery more intuitive. Every detail worked towards the same goal: turning a utilitarian product into an engaging digital experience without losing sight of its practical purpose.
