Brief:
Regardless of age, anyone using the internet is at risk of getting scammed online, without awareness of scammer tactics. Additionally, people often only start learning about common scam tactics, after becoming a victim. The challenge for the association of banks in Malaysia was to educate the public about scammer tactics beyond in-app and text-based PSAs.
Solution:
To break the scam cycle, we introduced a PSA that created its very own cycle of conversation between Malaysians. In collaboration with Jenn Chia, we created a guide on common scam tactics that was comprehensive, yet simple to understand. The guide was designed lighthearted and relatable, which included an unforgettable mnemonic across 3 social platforms in 3 languages. To maximise reach and accessibility, we released detailed guides and trivias on Jenn's profile page, which led to jangankenascam.com
