Brief:
Malaysian youths have close to zero affinity with National and Malaysia Day—they’re just two more public holidays. As a brand that’s dedicated to keeping Malaysians ahead, we understand that in order to move forward, we must also learn from our past. Therefore, for National and Malaysia Day 2023, we aimed to bring the youth closer to the spirit of our celebration.
Solution:
We told a heartfelt story centered on the deep connection between a patriotic grandfather and his grandson. The story unfolds as they work together to decorate the grandfather's old restaurant for the occasion, bonding over its rich history and the true meaning of the celebrations. Along this journey, the grandson gains a profound understanding of his grandfather's commitment to the occasion. In a climactic moment, he surprises the grandfather by putting his own unique spin on the festivities, thus carrying forward the tradition with a fresh and personal touch.
