Brief:
Toyota aimed to launch the latest GR Yaris and GR Corolla with a campaign that spoke directly to their core audience of GR car lovers. With short runtimes for each video, the challenge was to deliver a visceral experience that showcased the cars and their USP’s in their purest form - power, performance, and precision. The production timeline was tight, and with a fanbase that pays close attention to detail, there wasn’t much room for mistakes.
Solution:
We focused on creating a moody and visual adrenaline rush - a visceral showcase of the GR Yaris and Corolla in action. By close collaboration between stunt driver, DP and director, we captured dynamic sequences from every possible angle to highlight the cars’ raw power. Rather than relying on heavy dialogue or supers, we utilized purposeful edits, tight framing, and precise camera movements to showcase the cars’ USP’s. The videos managed to relay the sensation of speed and control to the viewers without ever touching the wheel. Despite the short turnaround time, the team delivered sleek, technically polished outputs that aligned with the Toyota GR spirit.
