How do we connect the message of Deepavali with Mah Sing's tagline of 'œReinvent Spaces. Enhance Life? The intention was clear, to put both in a melting pot and come up with a narrative piece which was touching, tugging at the heartstrings of the audience while relating to the audience not just as a faceless consumer, but a fellow human being. A message and treatment which would resonate with the eyes, ears and soul at the same time.
Solution:
A heartwarming Deepavali story which is the reality for many families. How do we grieve a soulmate which we have lost, but still have to navigate the journey of carrying on the torch to take care of the little loved one who also means the world to us? We explore the reality of fragmentation in the family due to unforeseen circumstances and how we need to reinvent spaces, which then in turn would enhance life, not just by desire but out of necessity. As we resonate with the characters, we stew and linger on the familiar feeling of grief how uncomfortable it might make us, and direct the audience to the light at the end of the tunnel life goes on, and with it, comes the promise of new adventures and memories. We cherish the past, but are also excited at what the future holds. The film was launched on social media channels like Instagram and Facebook
