Brief:
Nando's was strategically initiating a gastronomic presence within the high-potential growth trajectory of Kuala Lumpur's premier business epicentre. This endeavour juxtaposes its consumer- centric, casual engagement brand paradigm with the sophisticated communication methodologies preferred by the suits and ties. So we circled back and realigned, using it as leverage to let people know that we were in business. Delicious, chicken business.
Solution:
In a series of ads, we announced a net profit addition to people's lunchtime routines. We did it with pride. We did it with aplomb. We did it wrongly. For all the right reasons. It became crystal clear to the subject matter experts at TRX that we wanted their buy-in, with butts in seats at the sustenance centre. We maximised our margins, with people lining up the side of the restaurant in order to get a seat at the table. Everyone at Nando's exceeded KPls. The marketing team. The operations team. Even the logistics team. It's a shame we don't know what KPI stands
