Grab offers a multitude of services in its delivery and transport platform, offering essential convenience during the busy festive season. But with such a variety of products, it can be challenging to feature them all. How could we get more Chinese users to be aware of Grab's variety of Chinese New Year promotions and use the platform more frequently during the festive season preparations?
Solution:
We told the story of two rival families during a typical Chinese New Year house visit. One of the families is woefully unprepared for the visit, leading to not-so-subtle jabs and roasts by the other family, until things reach a boiling point. With a cast of veteran Malaysian actors like Alvin Wong and Kenji Lim, the sparks fly all the way until the humorous conclusion, where Grab saves the day, and some face for the rival clans. As a bonus, tactical offers and promos are featured in entertaining post-credits scenes, seamlessly weaving in hard-sell messages with the main narrative.
