SAJI wanted to deliver this year’s Terima Kasih Malaysia message in a fresh and memorable way.
The original brief was simple: create a song that carries the message of unity. The goal was to express togetherness through music and let Malaysians feel the message in a relatable way.
The song needed to be the emotional core of the film, reflecting Malaysia’s diversity in both sound and spirit. It had to flow naturally with the story, carrying the rhythm, emotion, and message of unity throughout.
Solution:
To fit the storyline and expectation of a musical film, the music was composed to mirror Malaysia’s everyday rhythm. These familiar moments inspired the melody, tempo, and percussion, giving the song an authentic Malaysian feel.
Written as a pop anthem with local influence, the composition blends modern production with subtle traditional tones. The lyrics speak of unity through our differences, echoing the film’s message that harmony already lives in our daily lives.
