SAJI wanted to express unity through words that Malaysians could truly feel.
As part of the Rentak & Sajian musical short film, the lyrics had to capture Malaysia’s warmth and spirit using simple, poetic Bahasa Malaysia. The challenge was to turn everyday food and cooking into metaphors for harmony and togetherness, creating lines that Malaysians could remember, hum, and relate to.
Solution:
The lyrics were written to sound familiar yet meaningful, using food and cooking as metaphors for unity. Each line was crafted to carry warmth, rhythm, and emotion that Malaysians could instantly relate to.
Phrases like “Setiap tangan ada caranya, setiap rasa ada cerita” reflect individuality, while “SAJI kan sehati sejiwa” ties the message back to the brand’s spirit of togetherness. The song blends poetic language with everyday simplicity, creating verses that feel natural to sing and easy to remember
