Background:
When a safety incident happens in a Grab ride, our main evidence comes from what drivers and passengers say. But sometimes, their stories don't match. As a result, many of these he-say-she-say cases are left unresolved because of the lack of evidence.
Challenge:
Grab was founded to champion safety in mobility, especially women's safety, but this is a delicate situation. How do we ensure safety in a way that doesn't offend drivers or passengers, while not being too intrusive?

People tend to behave better when they know they're being observed.
Idea
AudioProtect: Encrypted recordings in Grab rides, that does two things:
(1) Deter conflicts
People are more likely to be on their best behaviour, knowing that the ride is being recorded.
(2) Resolve conflicts
Provides impartial evidence, thus an unbiased witness in rides.
