Brief:
Marking a decade of success in Malaysia, OPPO Malaysia aimed to show its gratitude beyond typical corporate social responsibility. OPPO wanted to create a meaningful impact that resonates with Malaysians and reflects its commitment to the community. By understanding Malaysians and recognizing their unique cultural heritage, OPPO saw an opportunity for deeper engagement. Research showed that many Malaysians have become disconnected from their cultural roots, with traditions and art forms fading, especially among the youth. In response, OPPO Malaysia launched the #OPPOMalaysiaThroughTheLens campaign with UNESCO and Tourism Malaysia, aiming to preserve and revive the nation's diverse and fading cultural heritage using its technological expertise for lasting impact.
Solution:
Using OPPO's advanced imaging and AI technology, five fading cultures were captured in stunning portraits with OPPO phones. A premium coffee table book was created to highlight these cultural stories, endorsed by the Ministers of Tourism and Education, followed by an official launch of a special Coffee Table Book, an artistic tribute to the love and passion that goes into preserving these timeless traditions. Domestically, it was distributed during National Day to all OPPO flagship stores, VIP customers, partners, and online lucky winners. Internationally, it will be displayed in OPPO stores worldwide and gifted to international delegates from the Ministries of Tourism and Education. Sharing our culture globally, making Malaysia proud.
