Brief:
4As Malaysia wanted to host the first Kancil Awards Festival after a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic. How could this year's festival be more than another award show?
Solution:
This motion graphic piece was used as the opening of the Petronas Kancil Awards Festival 2022. Themed 'The Hero's Journey,' based on the popular storytelling framework, it is a reflection ofthe Malaysian ad industry's fortitude and defiance through challenging times of the pandemic and emerging as a hero at the end of it all.
It depicted the kancil as the protagonist in various stages of the Hero's Journey - starting withthe 'Call To Adventure' to 'Crossing The Threshold', then to 'The Ordeal' and its eventual 'Resurrection'.
