Brief:

Every marketing guru has an opinion about how to create content, especially for Gen Zs. But that doesn’t change the fact that Gen Zs hate ads. Which made it hard for us to tell them about our brand platform, That’s a Nando’s Thing.

Solution:

We know they loved content. So we disguised our brand ads as an animated series that lived exclusively on TikTok. A series based on real customers’ stories that our Nando’s staff (that we call Nandocas) have seen over the years. A series that broke every social media marketing best practices. A series that allowed us to share Nando's unique brand propositions like bottomless sauces, different PERi-PERi flavours, customisable meals, sides of every kind; everything that we know customers love about Nando’s. Gen Zs loved the series so much, they didn’t even realise they were watching ads. After 20+ episodes and counting, it brought Gen Zs closer to Nando’s. And closer to our restaurants. All because they learned something about us that they would never have heard of otherwise.
