Brief:
Promote 5G's edge over other networks including low latency, ultra-fast browsing speeds, and a steady network range during the Paris Olympics 2024.
Solution:
Launched during the Paris 2024 Olympics, Unilympics is a mobile gaming series with a retro twist. Combining the nostalgia of old-school arcade classics with new-age UX, we designed and coded three games right down to the last pixel. Players could see the advantages of 5G for themselves: 10,000cm Dash to showcase fast connections; Shuttle Shuffle for low latency and quick response times; Heartarchery for steady network coverage. All to prove that with a great network, even couch potatoes can transform into world-class athletes. Well, almost.
The visual identity of Unilympics is inspired by pixel art. The characters and environments are designed with a retro aesthetic calling back to the era of arcade machines. The UX is designed for simplicity and speed, ensuring intuitive one-handed gameplay. Each sport uses minimalistic controls, focusing on fluidity and one touch response. With endless levels of difficulty, the games suit both beginners and experts.
