Brief:
Following a previous Perodua Raya campaign back in 2020 during the pandemic which we had executed with Spin Communications and Perodua - we were approached again by Spin Communications to re-execute and bring back to life the track we made and recorded with Alif Satar conveniently titled 'Jumpa Lagi' when at the time, we weren't sure when we'd be able to 'jumpa lagi' due to the pandemic and restrictions.
Although the song was impactful on it's own, Perodua wanted to bring it back for 2024 since the pandemic had ended (per sé) and with a more cheerful tone and feeling to the lyrics while still maintaining the core message of the original song
Solution:
We relooked into opening back the previous project by also looking into how we can revise the lyrics and instrumentation to make it more current for 2024's Raya campaign. By changing lyrics from 'Stay together' to 'Jalinkan Mesra', and 'Seiring rai hari mulia' to 'Bersama Memuji yang esa' in the verses. But the main change is in the chorus from 'Semoga kita berjumpa lagi' to 'semoga kitakan diberkati Ilahi' - we did our best to 180° the track fitting Perodua's vision and the agency's creative direction.
By also relooking into the mix by making it brighter sounding with more ad-libs in the vocals, we did our utmost best to execute the project to the client's likeness - and we're glad to know that both Perodua and Spin were definitely pleased with the results given.
