Brief:
In the Chinese New Year festive period, where the battle for Malaysia’s attention is at its fiercest, how can Ah Huat Coffee strengthen the relationship they used to have with their loyal clientele while attracting the attention of a new generation of coffee drinkers.
Solution:
We realised that the one thing that accompanied Chinese families throughout their day to day lives were TVB dramas. So we banked on the nostalgia associated with them, in particular a certain melody that will always bring us back to that feeling of 人情味 (Warmth). We looked to 难兄难弟, a story of two aspiring actors with an unforgettable opening song (人情味) that filled our memories and spoofed it with a rewritten song and familiar TVB show tropes that were sure to bring people down memory lane, inserting Ah Huat in as a companion for that nostalgic taste of warmth.
