Brief:
Every year PETRONAS publishes the PETRONAS Activity Outlook (PAO) book for its business partners to discover updates within the energy industry. And every year, PETRONAS will have a design theme. We were tasked to create a design for the book that truly communicated the importance of collaboration. Yet, the design must also represent what PETRONAS is as an energy company and is only unique to PETRONAS.
Solution:
The PETRONAS Activity Outlook book design illustrates the seamless collaboration of PETRONAS with their stakeholders and employees. From one point to another everyone plays a pivotal role. Each icon was meticulously crafted and designed to represent PETRONAS' core business. Inspired by the Rube Goldberg method, this design also demonstrates that co-creation is ever-present throughout PETRONAS' journey. Upon closer inspection, the design also forms a hand which implies that the success of a great collaboration lies in the hands of many.
