Brief:
For the first time in 9 years, Formula One was making a historical return to Malaysia.
And like all historical events, every brand wanted to be a part of it, from trendjacking posts and sponsorships to ticket giveaways. As one of the most innovative brands in the world, we needed to find a way to not just be a part of the conversation, but to take over it.
Solution:
Samsung presents The Unofficial Grandstand.
With official tickets sold out, thousands missed out on the race. So, we created unofficial viewing seats at unexpected spots outside Sepang, too far to see with the naked eye, but not with the Galaxy S26. These spots offered views official grandstands couldn’t.
Every location featured contextualized tutorials on how they could experience the race using the camera effects, from slow shutter, double exposure, to burst mode and Pro Mode. Creators invited F1 fans to experience the race, transforming unconventional locations into new ways to enjoy F1 and making the sport accessible to thousands more.
