The main idea for this initially was to make people remember the feeling of being at home, be it the place or the people. And LUMI Hotel Hanoi aims to deliver the exact same feeling through both their service and this ad. Originally, the idea was to use an older, famous pop song and re-scored to achieve that feeling of nostalgia with focus shed on the words and concepts of "catch the light" and "find the magic".
Solution:
After some discussion, we felt that we could achieve the feeling they were going for with an indiepop style song with some originality and rawness of emotion with lyrics delivering the concepts of "catching the light" and "finding magic".
The end result is a beautiful song with a simple acoustic guitar lead and ethereal vocals singing about remembering the magical moments in our past which are as fleeting as the speed of light. And at LUMI Hotel Hanoi, our experience would perfectly encapsulate that feeling and we are reminded that the time we spent here would remain just as magical despite how brief our stay may be.
