Brief:
The market is oversaturated with potato crisps. It’s the same old tune: A close up of the bite, the sound of the crunch and a satisfied smile. We’ve seen it all. We’ve scrolled past it all.
The brief was to announce The Golden Duck’s new flavour and make the audience crave for it enough to actually go out and buy them. The challenge was to break through the clutter and stand out among the big players in the snack segment.
Solution:
We wanted to create the kind of suspense that left people dying to taste what they couldn’t see. Launching on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook with SOIMJENN’s signature characters, we staged a brand shoot gone wrong.
One furious director. One guilty talent. One empty table where the Golden Duck product should have been.
The punchline: the talent had eaten up all the product before the cameras even started rolling.
