Brief:

With Sime Darby Property (SDP) becoming an independent public-listed company, its identity needed to evolve. The challenge was twofold: retain decades of brand equity and instant recognition, while projecting a bold, future-ready vision that could stand confidently on its own. As the only consumer-facing Sime Darby brand, the logo carried disproportionate weight. It wasn’t just a mark — it was the face of heritage, trust, and continuity. Yet recognition alone was insufficient; the identity had to embody growth, sustainability, and leadership in shaping tomorrow’s communities.

Solution:

“Multiplying Values with a Refreshed Look.” The logo was reimagined as a layered construction, each tier representing SDP’s four pillars — People, Businesses, Economy, and the Planet. Together, they form a gateway: a symbol of entry into future opportunities, communities, and possibilities. This transforms the logo into a living metaphor for SDP’s role as a Value Multiplier. Execution: • Continuity Preserved: Retained the iconic red-to-yellow palette for instant recognition. • Structure Refined: Allowed the Sime Darby Property name to sit confidently within the icon, signalling independence and authority. • Layers as Multipliers: Each element amplifies meaning, showing how SDP multiplies value across people, business ecosystems, national progress, and sustainability. • Gateway Symbolism: The layered form creates a dynamic impression of forward movement - positioning SDP as the entrance to future communities and innovations.
