Come Raya, Malaysian airports see a surge in travellers, yet most don't stay longer than necessary. Malaysia airports wanted to capitalise on the increased traffic with a festive experience that would encourage people to stay and spend at the airport.
Solution:
We thought about what makes Raya special - the memories, connections and of course, food. Taking the ketupat as our inspiration, we created a giant walk-in ketupat that brought the memories of Raya and balik kampung to KLIA. Its woven exterior symbolised memories and traditions weaving together for generations, while the interior offered a familiar space where families reconnected. With this, we filled KLIA with the nostalgic vibes of Raya, and that led to increased participation and talkability.
